Born in Lima, Peru, Tito Carr grew up in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and Bridgeport, CT. He attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and after his military service received an MFA in creative writing from Southern Alaska State University. He has taught high school biology in Rockford, IL and North Platte, NE, and currently practices naturopathic medicine in Deming, NM.
